Gloucester Recreation Development Organization

The GRDO delivers affordable and accessible recreational sports programs for children and youth ages 4 to 14 who may face financial, cultural, or social barriers in seven neighbourhoods of the City of Ottawa (Blossom Park, Orleans, Blackburn Hamlet, Beacon Hill, Pineview, Carson Grove, and Cyrville).

The GRDO also provides volunteer opportunities for community members, post-secondary students, and youth leaders. We provide mentorship and guidance in and outside of our programs to get children and youth on a healthy, safe, and productive path of personal success and community building.

GRDO’s MANDATE
• To provide low cost recreation and skill building sports programs to children who have not had the benefit of participating in community recreation activities due to financial, cultural or social barriers.
• To provide community engagement and volunteer opportunities for community members, students, and youth.
