Donated soccer equipment from Canada arrived in Beira, Mozambique in order to facilitate a soccer tournament hosted by Kuwangisana-ADC in Sofala Province commencing on June 16 2019.
Second Kicks provided three boxes of soccer equipment with team uniforms, soccer balls, cleats, and other training gear.
The Championship involves 12 teams and the winners will receive a trophy and medals.
Our donation helped Kuwangisana-ADC "continue to deliver sports based group therapy to kids and youths. It helped heal and strengthen youths challenged by social emotional behavioral issues".
Although Kuwangisana is based in Mozambique, it is supported by a BC based group called the Caia Connection. Second Kicks board of directors wants to ensure our equipment ends in the right hands and it was reassuring to have another Canadian non-for-profit who has worked with Kuwangisana before.
