This June, Second Kicks continued to support local Canadian organizations ‘return-to-play’ with our first round of summer donations! We are proud to collaborate with the Gloucester Recreation Development Organization and Arnold Anderson Sports Fund for the first time, as well as support our friends over at Nutmeg Soccer once again!
The Gloucester Recreation Development Organization (GRDO) has been serving youth and communities across the Ottawa region since 1993 and offers sports programs designed to provide children and youth who may face financial, cultural, or social barriers with an accessible, healthy and safe path to personal success and community building. Second Kicks is excited to support GRDO’s incredible work and hopes that the two boxes of cleats and soccer balls will come in handy as GRDO returns to their soccer programming this summer. Like GRDO, the Arnold Anderson Sport Fund (AASF) is another fantastic charity that seeks to reduce the financial burden of sport by assisting parents and caregivers with grants to use towards sports registration. AASF has been assisting families in the Brantford, County of Brant and Six Nations regions for over 20 years and Second Kicks is thrilled to be supporting their important mission. With soccer being one of the most popular sports to register for in the region, Second Kicks supported AASF with boxes of cleats and uniforms to provide youth eagerly awaiting the return to play! Thank you very much to Sandra and the AASF team and we look forward to working together again soon.
Finally, Second Kicks is very happy to have teamed up once again with our good friends at Nutmeg Soccer! Late last year, we initially worked together in support of Nutmeg’s Holiday Gift Drive and this June we picked up where we left off! As part of the donation, Second Kicks sent Nutmeg jerseys, shorts and socks to help them supply dozens of NUTMEG’ers with kits as part of their end of program celebrations. As always, a BIG thank you to Javiar, Kelsey, Heini and the whole Nutmeg team and we can’t wait to see what’s to come next!
